Thurkas Unpolished Red Raw Rice (Koliyal Rice)

Thurkas Unpolished Red Raw Rice, also known as Koliyal Rice, is available in 1kg and 5kg packs. The unpolished grains retain their natural red bran layer, giving the rice its distinctive colour, firm texture and nutty flavour. Allow extra water and cooking time compared with regular white rice, and follow the cooking instructions on the pack.

How to use: Sri Lankan rice and curry, red rice kanji, kola kenda, and grinding into flour for pittu and string hoppers.

Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place in a sealed container.
